Bosses have shortlisted Shrewsbury as one of five towns that could feature on their very own Monopoly board in a nation wide contest. The winner will join the list of places that have their own Monopoly board such as Wolverhampton, Liverpool, Chester and Coventry.
Polling is well under way with other towns in the running being Gloucester, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick. But with a variety of accommodation, attractions, museums, transport links, quirky street names and the all important Dana Prison, Shrewsbury has everything needed to recreate the classic British board game and is looking to be a very strong contender!
