Road Closures for Shrewsbury Half Marathon 21st June 2015

 in Shrewsbury There will be road closures in and around Shrewsbury on June 21st for this years Shrewsbury Half Marathon

The race starts at 9:30am from the County Showground with road closures being implemented from 8:45am, so please arrive early to avoid these closures. All car parks within the town will be open as usual (with £1 all day parking in the town centre's long and short stay car parks on a Sunday) and all businesses within the town will be open as usual.

The race is expected to be finished around 12:30pm, to which roads will be opened to traffic.


The roads that are due for closure are:

  • Berwick Rd (B5067)
  • Huffley Lane
  • Ellesmere Road (A528)
  • Coton Hill
  • Castle Gates
  • Castle Street
  • St Marys Street
  • Dogpole, Wyle Cop
  • English Bridge
  • Longden Coleham
  • Kingsland Road
  • Kennedy Road
  • Ashton Road
  • Butler Road
  • Town Walls
  • Belmont
  • High Street
  • Shoplatch
  • Barker Street
  • Claremont Bank
  • The Quarry
  • Victoria Avenue
  • Smithfield Road
  • Chester Street; and
  • Coton Hill
