New Plant Centre Helps Apley Farm Shop to Blossom

New Plant Centre Helps Apley Farm Shop to Blossom A new venture is blooming at the Apley Farm Shop Courtyard near Bridgnorth with the opening of an independent boutique plant centre.

The new Apley Plant Centre, which opened on June 13, offers a wide selection of garden plants, from small alpines to large specimen stock, plus unusual varieties that gardeners will love.

Lord and Lady Hamilton of Dalzell, who opened the farm shop on the Apley Estate in 2011, said they’d wanted to complement their existing attractions, which include a cafe, Playbarn, clothes shop, animal park, Reiki centre, toy shop, with a plant centre.

“Gardening is a growing sector – forgive the pun – so it was an obvious choice to offer our customers at Apley,” said Lady Harriet Hamilton, Marketing Manager. “It’s something we know customers have asked for and we were keen to add it to our offering here. It looks wonderful, too, and we’re thrilled to at last open the doors to our visitors.”

Lord Hamilton added: “We pride ourselves on providing a good range of shops and activities for all the family here at Apley Farm Shop, so adding a plant centre is the icing on the cake because it perfectly complements all we’re doing here.”

The plant centre will be stocked and managed by Shropshire’s largest plant nursery and will have enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff on hand to offer expert advice on plant selection, garden design and plant husbandry.

As well as plants, the centre also stocks a small selection of gardening goods, such as a range of composts, tools, decorative plant pots and other high quality garden sundries.
