The collection of work, by Joseph Edge, features a selection of abstract landscapes using multi-media and is the first solo show for the artist.
The art work is being exhibited via the Visual Art Network and will be available to view on the gallery level of the market.
The exhibition launches tomorrow [WEDS] as part of a special late night shopping event to coincide with Shrewsbury’s Christmas Cracker event. It will remain at the market until Christmas and will be available to view on normal trading days.
A spokesman for Visual Art Network said: “Joseph’s paintings are spontaneous visual expressions of space – the aim of the artist is to challenge people’s perception of what it is to believe in an imaginary place, within an otherwise familiar location. They could be seen as windows into another world.
“What is most exciting about this show is how it has the power to transform the atmosphere and energy in this part of the Market Hall.”
