Aldenham Park, a privately owned country house located between Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock, will feature as home of ‘Damien Racula’, whilst filming is also set to take place at other locations throughout the county including Severn Valley Railway, Bridgnorth, Morville, Ludlow, Arley and Much Wenlock.
Producer James Black said, "This Dracula production is set in present day around the world of fashion. The story centres around a world famous fashion designer who lives in a large country mansion where he also runs his global fashion empire from. The character in the story is named Damien Racula who is obsessed with becoming a vampire and finding evidence that Dracula exists.
The story has elements of black comedy as well as horror (without too much gore). There is a very glamorous young cast, fabulous music and great fashion.
Our Director of Photography is BAFTA winner Alan McLaughlin. The film will be beautifully shot with a very cinematic look on Panavision. It is our intention to bring the beauty of Shropshire fully to the screen in this production.
I am also able to announce and confirm that former James Bond, GEORGE LAZENBY will play vampire hunter Professor Norris (formerly Professor Kovacs) in our Dracula production.
Los Angeles based George replaced Sean Connery as James Bond when he starred as 007 in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, now rated as one of the best movies ever made."
The film will be released at the end of this year via iTunes, Amazon, Netflix, Vimeo and Google Play.
Claire Owen from Shropshire Tourism said, "We are delighted that Shropshire has been chosen as the location for this new production and will continue to assist James and the rest of the crew however we can."
