In response HEFF is now launching an international arm of its HEFF Trading Desk to provide a one stop shop for overseas buyers, taking the hassle out of sourcing English products. Buyers will benefit from the expert knowledge of the HEFF International Trading Desk team to advise on suitable products and will allow them to order quality food and drink from a number of producers in one transaction.
The HEFF International Trading Desk, based at Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre in Shrewsbury, is funded and supported by UKTI, in partnership with the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce who will underpin the project and assist HEFF to access global markets. The project will also see the HEFF website being translated into five languages.
This opportunity will open new markets for artisan producers which otherwise might not be possible. They will benefit from having expert guidance on the export industry rather than having to tackle exporting on their own.
HEFF Chief Executive Karen Davies said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for
producers to maximise their potential and for us to spread the word
across the globe about the quality and diversity of food and drink from the
heart of England. With the support and expertise of UKTI, the HEFF International Trading Desk offers overseas buyers a simplified way of sourcing English food and drink.”
Food and drink producers from the heart of England region interested in exporting their products to overseas markets should contact the HEFF International Trading Desk on +44(0)1743 452812, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.heff.co.uk/international
