Farm Stay UK Recognises Shropshire Tourism Grading Scheme

Farm Stay UK Recognises Shropshire Tourism Grading Scheme Shropshire Tourism is delighted to announce that national body ‘Farm Stay UK’ has today confirmed that any properties assessed by Shropshire Tourism are now eligible to join their organisation.

This is a huge endorsement for Shropshire Tourism’s accommodation assessment scheme, which has graded over 150 businesses in the county since its launch in 2009, following demand from the tourism industry in Shropshire for a quality, local assessment service.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Shropshire Tourism’s Chief Executive Simon McCloy said, “This is really great news and we are delighted that this national organisation has recognised the quality of our accommodation assessment scheme. We have been thrilled with the positive feedback received from businesses that have been assessed by us.”

Sarah O’Sullivan from Swallows Nest in Clive is one such business who has been assessed by Shropshire Tourism. Commenting on her experience Sarah said, “I think that people coming to Shropshire will be reassured that the cottage is assessed by a locally run scheme. It is a very thorough assessment and helpful information is given. I would certainly recommend this scheme to other accommodation providers.”
