Why not make a day of it? Come a little earlier and enjoy lunch in the award winning café. Treat yourself to themed delights, available alongside the usual tasty menu that has hot dishes of the day, children’s menus, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and more! Warm up with a coffee and a piece of cake or sample a Shropshire Cream Tea and with something for everyone, you could treat yourself to a glass of wine or a bottle of local ale.
Make the most of a day out and check out the new and improved exhibition. The Shropshire Hills Through Time Exhibition launched back in July, ready for the school Summer Holidays. With 10% off admissions for family tickets, available for this day only, the exhibition offers entertainment for everyone! With new interactive exhibits for all the senses and the brand new panoramic film, soaring over the Shropshire Hills in the refurbished rotunda space, the new improvements have proven very popular with adults and children alike from locals to far away visitors.
Entrance charges to the bonfire are: £3.00 per adult, £1.50 per child, £5 for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm. A bar and refreshments will be on offer for visitors on site from 6.30pm.
The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre offers an extensive programme of family events, adult courses and a variety of activities for the whole family. The unique grass roofed building houses a replica of the famous mammoth skeleton found in Shropshire. The café serves delicious home-cooked food. Browse our extensive shop selling a range of quirky gifts. Every half term and school holiday we provide hands-on family activities.
