Visitors wanting to take self-guided tours will be given a visitors guide, including a site map which will take you through the prison on a pre-designed 10 point tour. This will allow you to take the tour at your own pace and see other areas that the guided tours don't cover, plus stay longer in the cells & hanging room.
The Dana Prison will be open 7 days a week from 12pm untill 6pm with last entry admitted at 5pm. There is no need to book for self-guided tours, simply turn up, pay on the gate and enjoy your day behind bars.
During the weekends we will have a small cafe open in visits selling light refreshments and hot drinks.
Our World renowned guided tours will continue as scheduled for those wanting a direct insight into prison life from real prison officers.
