The Tanners team is inviting people to try their hand as a wine buff when they visit the company’s ‘Taste of Tanners’ mini-shop on Wyle Cop throughout September.
Customers who fancy testing their palate can enter the company’s Tastebud Challenge competition by tasting from a special ‘mystery’ bottle and then guessing the wine from a list of 10 options. At the end of the month, one lucky winner will receive a prize of a bottle worth over £50. “We’ll also publish the names of all correct entrants,” explained Tanners Marketing Manager, Christina Albon, “giving them fantastic boasting rights amongst their friends and family as a Tanners super-taster!”
“For our first ‘mystery’ wine, we’ve picked something that will get you thinking and, to make sure it’s fun for everyone, we’ve narrowed down the options to just 10 possibilities. The mystery sample costs just £2 (and you’ll be tasting a wine that normally costs at least £25!) so if you think you can you tell a Rioja from a Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you should definitely pop in and enter!”
Budding wine experts can find out more on Tanners Facebook page or by visiting A Taste of Tanners on Wyle Cop.
