Shrewsbury's Sunday Car Parking Offer Starts This Weekend

in Shrewsbury Shoppers, visitors and traders in Shrewsbury are set to benefit from a new car parking offer from this weekend.

The ‘See Shrewsbury on Sundays’ initiative means those arriving by car will be able to park all day and pay for just the first hour in any of the Council’s long stay town centre car parks, which can be as little as 60p per hour. Visitors will also be able to park for two hours for the price of one at the Tannery, St Austin’s Street and Bridge Street car parks and three hours for the price of one at Frankwell Riverside and Quay short stay car parks. The deal will run from the 18th January through to the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and has been introduced to attract more shoppers, diners and visitors into the town centre during the winter months. It sits alongside NCP’s existing Sunday car parking tariff in Wyle Cop, which is just £1. Discounted all day car parking will be available at the following car parks: Abbey Foregate, Raven Meadows Multi Storey, St Julian’s Friars and Frankwell Main.
