Anna Kary from Bedfordshire said “What a lovely surprise! Being a huge Paul Carrack fan, I’m coming to see him at Theatre Severn on 1st March so this will be the perfect end to a perfect day. Instead of driving straight home I can spend the next day looking around your lovely town.”
Claire Owen, Senior Marketing Officer at Shropshire Tourism said, “The competition was run by Shropshire Tourism on behalf of Shrewsbury Tourism Association as part of the 2014 Visit Shrewsbury brochure which is also produced for them by Shropshire Tourism.
To complement Shrewsbury’s ‘Original One-Off’ branding, entrants to the competition answered questions about some of Shrewsbury’s original one-offs, from the object that reputedly inspired Charles Darwin to study geology (the Bellstone) to the name of the Shrewsbury gardener to established the BBC Blue Peter garden (Percy Thrower).”
Danielle DiTella, General Manager of PorterHouse.SY1. said “We were delighted to offer the prize and support the Shrewsbury brochure.”
