Burlton Cottages, a selection of three beautiful holiday homes located in the grounds of Charity Farm in Shrewsbury, will open at 1pm on Friday 27th June 2014 when The Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP will officially cut the ribbon.
The event is set to welcome over 100 individuals from across the region including those who helped during the conversion process, as well as local accommodation suppliers and tourism providers, with a buffet lunch served to guests from 12pm until 3pm.
Rachel Mee, Onsite Owner of Burlton Cottages, explained: “The Shropshire countryside is a real jewel in our region’s crown and we’re lucky enough to experience it ourselves each and every day, which is why we decided to convert a number of our beautiful farm buildings to provide guests with the opportunity to experience the tranquillity and beauty of the local area for themselves.
“During the renovation process, we insisted on working in partnership with local suppliers and contractors for everything from building work, to the biomass boiler, and they’ll be able to see the cottages in their full, finished glory.”
The official opening will also welcome Kate Evans, Shrewsbury Agribusiness Manager of Barclays Bank, representatives from Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, the Shropshire Tourism Board and local farmers in the area, with guests able to view the cottages at their own leisure.
The Burlton Cottages are fully furnished and include well-equipped kitchen and living areas, providing a perfect option for couples looking for a romantic break, time-outs for those on business trips, as well as family holidays, with dogs welcome at one of the cottages.
“It’s been a fantastic year so far and the opening really is the icing on the cake. We’re hugely excited to open the cottages to the public and anyone interested in coming along should get in touch on 01939 270404, or email email@example.com” Rachel concluded.
