Join in the Harvest Festival at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Sunday 28 September Join the residents of Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge on Sunday, 28 September at they celebrate the annual harvest in traditional fashion.

The best of the season’s produce will be on display in the church and in the gardens for all to see and a thanksgiving service will be held in the small Mission Church for the townsfolk at 12 noon. Everyone is invited to visit the Pleasure Gardens at 2pm, where there will be an open air service and everyone can join the celebrations by singing hymns.

Afterwards chat to the townsfolk in their shops and cottages and see traditional skills in action at the printers, candle makers and decorative plasterers. Then buy a celebratory pint in the New Inn or portion of traditionally prepared fish and chips from the town’s Fried Fish Dealer.

Open 10am to 5pm, Blists Hill Victorian Town is one of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums. A great value Annual Passport Ticket allowing entry into all ten museums, valid for twelve months and unlimited return visits, costs £27.50 per adult, £21 for the 60 plus, £16.50 for students and children and £68 for a family of two adults and all their children aged up to 18 years in full time education (terms and conditions apply); under 5s free. Activities may vary day-to -day. Individual museum entry tickets are also available.
