The chart-topping singer, who was a judge on BBC1 talent show The Voice, will play to an audience of 10,000 and the organisers have said it will be the ‘biggest event ever held’ in the town centre park.
Oxon Hall Touring Park, located on the edge of Shrewsbury, is preparing to welcome Jessie J fans over the weekend.
The park, which is open all year round, is also reporting big demand for pitches for two other major summer events, Shrewsbury Flower Show on August 10 and 11 and Shrewsbury Steam Rally on August 26 and 27.
“Jesse J’s sell-out concert in Shrewsbury is a massive boost for businesses the town, including Oxon Hall Touring Park,” said Edward Goddard, managing director of Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure, which owns the park. “Our bookings have certainly increased over that weekend, which we attribute to her many fans wishing to stay in the town.
“Demand for pitches during Shrewsbury Flower Show and Shrewsbury Steam Rally increases every year, which highlights the popularity of these events. My advice to anyone wishing to stay at the park for the Jesse J concert, flower show and steam rally weekends is to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
“Caravanners like the quality, parkland location of Oxon on the edge of Shrewsbury. The big advantage the park has is that it is just a short walk from the town’s Park and Ride bus service, which allows caravan and motorhome owners to travel into town and have a few drinks without worrying about driving back.”
Oxon Hall Touring Park can accommodate 100 touring caravans, 60 caravan holiday homes and has special pitches for recreational vehicles (RVs). Contact Tel: 01743 340868 or visit www.morris-leisure.co.uk for more informatio
