Is that really a GIANT Turkey?

Is that really a GIANT Turkey? Yes it is... On the Battlefield roundabout you'll be mistaken for double taking at the HUGE straw bale turkey that has been built to promote the bronze turkeys that the Battlefield 1403 Farm Shop is now taking orders for. The butchery at the farm shop has grown in popularity and the butchery are now expecting hundreds of orders to come flooding in for their free range bronze turkeys, geese and other meats and goodies over the next few weeks.

Working with local farmers such as Brisbournes in Nescliffe the meat is all totally traceable and chosen for the taste rather than convenience. Placing orders is crucial for small businesses as there is only a limited supply of certain cuts and sizes of meat that can be ready for the big day. Tasting days over the next 6 weeks will also be taking place every Friday and Saturday showcasing the producers who supply the shop so yet another reason to pop along!

While you might be forgiven for never having visited the farm shop before, now is definitely the time for a visit. Hampers and gifts for corporate clients sit alongside local beers for dad and nibbles for the party season ahead. The shop specialises in buying local and there is a wealth of local cheeses, biscuits and SO much more to enjoy!

Also did you know that Battlefield 1403 also has a café in Shrewsbury town centre, nestled inside St Mary's Church in Shrewsbury it serves food made in the deli at the shop, homemade cake and delicious coffee…. What more could you want?

If you would like to try out the café in the town centre or at the shop for a quick break please let us know and we will endevour to serve you delicious cake and show what makes us so special on the Shrewsbury scene!
