How to do business with style and a valuable insight into what “makes people tick” will be among the free business events on offer at the three star 18 bedroom Wroxeter Hotel and restaurant overlooking The Wrekin.
The hotel is situated in the centre of the county and aims to showcase its service to the whole of the Shropshire business community.
“This is a fantastic venue to host corporate events and meetings and we want companies to know what we have to offer,” said hotelier Hannah Hall, who with husband Ed has upgraded the popular hotel since they took over two years ago.
“We pride ourselves on our flexibility. We don’t have to meet the criteria of a large hotel. We can offer people whatever they want.”
On September 9, from 3pm to 8pm, business guests are invited to call at the countryside hotel, between the English Heritage Roman city site and Wroxeter vineyard, signposted off the Telford to Shrewsbury A5 route. Next door to the hotel is a little known pre Anglo Saxon church, rebuilt with stonework from the Roman City and the resting place of the Newports, a well known Shropshire family around the time of the Reformation.
“There is a lot of Shropshire history around here and it is a simply stunning countryside venue. We want business people to come and network with each other, enjoy a free afternoon tea on us with bucks fizz and canapes just so you can see what we are all about. We have a lot to show you,” added Hannah.
There will be a range of events on the day including motivational and style workshops giving tips on developing relationships with colleagues and clients with an interactive, fun and informative insight into “what makes people tick.”
Businesswomen will be given advice on how to “look the part” when socialising with work colleagues and clients with a dynamic, “non stuffy,” inexpensive range of styling tips and pointers.
Executive travel ideas with cars and a driver will be on display along with an exhibition from Wrexham and Shropshire Rail.
A free prize draw will be made offering a night’s stay for two at The Wroxeter with dinner and breakfast – recently given a top award from the English tourist board.
