The Shrewsbury Steam Trust was formed to restore and care for the beam engines and boilers at the site. It operates Coleham Pumping Station on behalf of Shropshire Council Museums Service.
We do not receive any grants from Shropshire Council and fund the operation and maintenance of the beam engines and boilers from your entrance money and donations. All work is carried out by volunteer members of the SST.
To become a member of the Trust please click here for an application form. The current membership is only £10 per year and that will be spent on the restoration and maintenance of the machinery and facilities - £10 well spent! Newsletters are circulated at regular intervals.
If you feel you would like to sponsor our activities at the pumping station please contact us to discuss how to go about it. We have plans for the future of the museum which are awaiting funding.
