Shrewsbury has a team of 30 town guides including Green Badge (local) and Blue Badge (regional) guides.
During the summer there are Daily Guided Tours from Shrewsbury Visitor Information Centre. During the winter they only run on Saturdays but you do have the option of booking private tours at any time, general tours as well on various themes. If you have any questions about any of the following please call Shrewsbury VIC on 01743 258 888.

A typical guided walking tour lasts about 90 minutes and includes the main sites and historic town centre. However the length and content can be easily adjusted to suit your group and itinerary.
Latest start time for a tour is 7pm.
Our Shrewsbury guides also offer a range of themed tours. Some popular themes include:

"A fascinating and informative evening. A great deal of knowledge imparted with enthusiasm and a wry humour. Everyone enjoyed it from age 11 to 70 something. We highly recommend the tour to visitors and locals alike" - Mrs G, Powys
"Party all enjoyed the tour. Excellent guide - much appreciated. Look forward to another in the future" - Mrs S, Shropshire
"Excellent! Most informative and very amusing, Martin is a great raconteur and a fine ambassador for Shrewsbury. He took trouble to slow his pace for the less able of our group, which was much appreciated. Thank you" - B Branch – Shrewsbury Trefoil Guild
